There are many three-bedroom houses in this area as well as upscale two or three-bedroom apartments, many located on canals so providing docking and easy boat access to Cayman’s North Sound. They are well maintained and often professionals tend to rent them. These are quiet areas, near to many amenities including restaurants, shops, cinemas and the beach.
Off the beach apartments typically have canal, pool or golf course views most are within walking distance of the main strip and some, such as Britannia, close to Camana Bay and all its facilities, including resturants, bars, coffee shops and a cinema sixplex with all the latest movies.
The community is a highly rated private school in Camana Bay - Cayman International School and this operates the International Baccalaureate system, accepting children from 2 to 18 years of age.
The new bypass road allows easy access to and from both the residential areas of West Bay, South Sound, Prospect and Savannah as well as to the country’s Capital and Centre of Government, George Town, as well as connecting to George Owen Roberts International Airport. The recent extension of the Bypass to West Bay has cut the travel time from George Town to West Bay to under 10 minutes.
