Jeremy Hurst, Broker/Owner of International Realty Group Ltd. (IRG) was at Knight Frank’s World HQ in London last week to promote the Cayman Islands to leaders from 230 offices in 25 countries including, Russia, the Middle East, Hong Kong, China, Europe and the America’s.

Knight Frank’s Global Real Estate Conference takes place annually to allow key figures from the Real Estate industry to discuss areas affecting the Global real estate market, with a goal to identify fields in which Knight Frank’s affiliates could best adopt and utilise the organisations global expertise, coverage and business systems to market and sell real estate.

Mr. Hurst said: “These conferences are an excellent opportunity to network and build strong relationships with our Knight Frank counterparts from throughout the world. There are very few real estate networks that can place you in a room with property experts from Moscow, Hong Kong, New York, London and India at the same time and provide you with the opportunity to promote your jurisdiction and the properties you represent on a one to one basis. Some of these individuals run some of the largest real estate offices in the world and have a huge client base of high net worth investors and our goal is to leverage the relationships we are building to access this client base and bring them to Cayman.

During his visit, Mr. Hurst carried out personal presentations to Knight Frank’s Russian and Middle Eastern teams who were also attending the conference.

“My goal was to explain to these teams what an excellent opportunity the Cayman Islands represent for their investors and our comments were very well received. We have been invited by the Russian/CIS team to visit Moscow to present to a number of their investors and plan to do so later this year” continued Mr. Hurst.

Whilst in London Mr. Hurst took the opportunity to meet with a number of IRG’s London based clients as well as the partners of Knight Knight’s Kensington and Knightsbridge offices. He was subsequently invited to tour one of Knight Frank’s most prestigious listings – One Hyde Park – an ultra luxury apartment complex, which overlooks Hyde Park to one side and Knightsbridge to the other. The apartments there are selling between £6 million (for a one-bed unit of around 1,000 sq.ft.) and £60million. The project developed by the Candy brothers, designed by Richard Rogers and backed by the Sovereign Wealth Fund of Qatar represents the most expensive real estate in the world at £6000 or almost US$10,000 per sq.ft.

The benefit to our clients and their properties and the positive exposure to the Cayman Islands on a truly international stage is immeasurable” added Mr. Hurst.
