LOCKDOWN IN PARADISE

In mid-March, IRG's clients, the owners of Villa del Mare, decided to escape the cold Wisconsin weather and the growing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic and ride out the proverbial storm in the comfort of their beachfront estate in Grand Cayman's Rum Point.

What was originally intended to be a short break, turned into 44 days, isolating in their own private island retreat. The Cayman Islands Government's quick reaction to the growing threat of the pandemic and the ensuing travel restrictions and community lockdown meant that the family were able to really embrace the island lifestyle, grilling freshly caught lobster, diving for conch and enjoying the luxurious amenities of their 3-acre estate.

Now, several months later we are able to share with you some of the highlights from their 'lockdown in paradise.'

This video comes as the Cayman Islands prepares for the gradual re-opening of their borders. The swift response of the Cayman Government and the spirit with which the Islands population embraced the restrictions has resulted in the islands achieving a virtually COVID-free status.
